Job Description
Grade Level (for internal use):
- Opportunity to work on a core part of the S&P Global Platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various parts of the platform.
- Direct impact on delivering the strategic vision of our data access strategy.
- Use of latest technologies tailored to web platforms and Office add-ins, including .NET 9, Azure DevOps, Git Repositories, Typescript, React, and integrated cloud services for seamless data analytics and retrieval.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality UI/UX components using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Implement responsive, accessible, and visually appealing designs that enhance user experience.
- Monitor and improve application performance using modern debugging and profiling tools.
- Collaborate with AI and back-end teams to integrate intelligent features seamlessly into the front-end.
- Build and maintain pipelines that deploy various build artifacts into different environments.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and quality of solutions through thorough testing and best practices.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understand and consider customer environments and their use of our products.
- Apply software engineering practices and implement automation across all elements of solution delivery.
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of professional experience in front-end/UI/UX development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and CSS frameworks.
- Experience in developing scalable, high-performance web applications.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience in integrating AI and machine learning-driven features into user-facing applications.
- Ability to debug and optimize front-end applications efficiently.
- Understanding of Information Security and best practices for UI/UX development.
- Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization and deployment workflows using containerization tools
- Demonstrated ability to work on agile teams and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Understanding of design systems and component-based architecture.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Playwright, Jest, or Cypress.
