Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through manual and automated testing. You will identify bugs, report issues, and work closely with developers to ensure top-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse system specifications and requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts (manual & automated).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through bug-tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Validate software fixes and enhancements.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure software compliance with business requirements.
- Prepare test reports, documentation, and quality metrics.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, Appium).
- Good understanding of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
