Job Description
- As a Quality Engineering Analyst at our company, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements. You will monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams including development and product management to resolve quality issues. Effective communication with developers, business analysts, and product owners is key in this role. Working closely with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions are vital aspects of the job. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining documentation related to quality processes, standards, and compliance, as well as participating in the implementation of automated testing frameworks where applicable. You will be expected to maintain and update regression test suites as needed, validate test data and system readiness before execution, and take ownership of modules to guide delivery independently. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to write clear emails/documentation are essential for success in this role. In terms of technical competencies, you should have proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques, a strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and HP ALM is necessary, along with hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, QTP, or TOSCA. Your ability to design and maintain automated test frameworks, knowledge of scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, and Java, and experience in analyzing test results and quality metrics to identify trends and issues will be valuable assets. Moreover, familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements such as CMMI, and the ability to clearly document and communicate test results and quality issues are important aspects of this role. Strong stakeholder management, reporting skills, team management, and client relationship management skills will also be beneficial in fulfilling the job requirements.
