Job Description
- As a Country Air Freight Manager at Flexport, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global commerce by overseeing the Air business for a specific country. You will be part of the core regional leadership team and responsible for setting and implementing the strategic roadmap for the country's air freight operations. Your role will involve building strong partnerships internally and externally, driving profitable growth, and managing the country's P&L. Your responsibilities will include setting and implementing the strategy for air freight, developing financial targets in collaboration with Sales and Finance teams, and owning the country's P&L. You will be tasked with driving operational metrics, overseeing procurement strategy, and leading product development efforts to align with market needs. In addition, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing country air freight team, working closely with Sales to drive go-to-market strategies, and leading the country's pricing strategy. You should have at least 10 years of experience in freight forwarding, procurement, and airline relationships, with a proven track record in managing large teams and implementing organizational transformations. To excel in this role, you should be a strategic thinker, hands-on implementer, and possess deep expertise in freight forwarding market and operations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with a client service mindset and attention to detail.
