As a Lead Consultant in the role of QA Functional Tester, you will play a crucial part in coding, testing, and delivering high-quality deliverables. Your willingness to learn new technologies is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities include database testing using SQL, debugging issues, collaborating across scrum teams and functional teams, keeping updated on automation testing best practices, and executing automation testing strategies and frameworks. Your role will involve driving automation initiatives to minimize functional defects and identify performance issues early in the development cycle. Minimum qualifications for this role include a BE/B Tech/MCA degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred qualifications and skills consist of experience in functional QA, proficiency in UI functional technologies such as Playwright and Cypress, a solid understanding of software testing and the defect life cycle, familiarity with QA processes, executions, and reporting, ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot environment issues, work with defect tracking tools like Jira and ALM, and grasp of Agile methodologies. Additionally, knowledge of capital markets, electronic trading, order flow and execution, FIX protocol, KDB technology, Unix environments, and the ability to design user stories and define acceptance criteria are advantageous. A quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced environment, you are expected to acquire necessary knowledge promptly. This is a full-time position located in Bangalore, India.
