Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Pune
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 5 to 8+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance EA tools and workbenches for enterprise-wide use.
- Build data applications from cloud infrastructure to visualization layer.
- Support the development of portfolio health insights through data engineering.
- Write clean, well-commented code and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with technology support teams to ensure timely delivery or escalation.
- Assist in presentations, communications, and training related to data initiatives.
- Work across teams with strong indirect influence and leadership.
- Actively educate and inform stakeholders on data engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 58+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in large corporate environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView).
- Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and GitLab for version control and collaboration.
- Strong understanding of IT architecture, metrics, and performance implications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to deliver complex data applications under tight timelines.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial industry or regulated environments.
- Exposure to complex metrics design, reporting, and architecture KPIs.
- Experience using AI/ML for data analytics and insights.
Skills Required:
- Advanced SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Azure services: Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Functions, etc.
- Power BI dashboarding and DAX expressions.
- SDLC understanding and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in cross-functional global teams.
