Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - DevOps
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5 - 6 years of experience in cloud
infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have strong
expertise in AWS/GCP, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container
orchestration.
You will play a key role in building, deploying, scaling, and managing cloud-native,
containerized applications while collaborating closely with development teams to
ensure seamless deployments, system reliability, cost optimization, and high
availability.
Key Responsibilities
1) Design and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
2) Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
3) Automate deployment and scaling of containerized applications of PHP, MERN, or Python stack using Docker and Kubernetes.
4) Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
5) Administer and optimize MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
6) Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools.
7) Maintain infrastructure security and compliance through IAM, KMS, security groups, and policy management.
8) Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure into Agile/DevOps workflows.
9) Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews
Required Skills:
6 years of experience in DevOps with deep knowledge of AWS/GCP (EC2, S3, IAM, ALB/NLB, VPC, etc.).
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
Strong in Linux administration, Bash/PowerShell scripting, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Skilled in managing MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB (clustering, performance tuning).
Familiar with DevOps toolchains like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Nexus.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: VPCs, subnets, DNS, routing, firewalls, and security groups.
Experience with artifact and container registries: ECR, Docker Hub, GitHub Packages.
