Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer. In this role, you will work within an agile team alongside architects and business partners to design and develop new capabilities for existing applications. Your solutions will align with architectural standards, business requirements, technology roadmaps, and industry trends.
The primary objective is to enhance customer experience and accelerate speed to market, while ensuring flexibility and scalability in support of the Strategic Roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions across multiple platforms using Java, Oracle, and UNIX.
- Develop and consume APIs; build Web Services (SOAP/REST) using Java Spring Boot.
- Contribute to cloud migration efforts and application deployment in AWS.
Apply front-end development skills using Angular or React. - Collaborate with architects and tech leads to uphold architectural standards and ensure application integrity.
- Design scalable, reusable, secure, and cost-efficient software architecture patterns.
- Participate in security assessments and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Demonstrate systems thinking and collaborate across interfacing systems. - Engage with teams across billing and premium audit, including maintenance, production support, and cloud migration.
- Evaluate technology trade-offs to deliver optimal customer value.
- Review and contribute to well-abstracted, reusable code.
- Apply DevSecOps practices and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, uDeploy, Rally, Checkmarx).
- Implement proactive monitoring and observability to detect and prevent system issues.
- Share knowledge and present ideas to leadership and peers to foster team learning.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert for supported applications. - Mentor team members and sourcing partners on development best practices.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Communicate risks, mitigations, and business impacts clearly and concisely.
Drive innovation by leveraging technology to solve customer problems.
Required Skills & Experience (Intermediate)
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies (Web Services, XML, JSON, JDBC, Spring frame work, Hibernate).
- Strong experience with API development and integration.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and application migration.
- Front-end development experience with Angular or React.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, security, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
