Job Requirements
Position: Lead AI/ML Developer
Experience: 6+ years (with at least 3+ years in AI/ML/NLP projects)
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI/ML Developer to design and implement next-generation AI-powered knowledge management systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in document understanding, LLMs, multimodal AI, and agentic AI systems.
You will lead the development of a co-pilot-style solution capable of ingesting, processing, and reasoning over large volumes of documents (PDFs, scanned images, engineering drawings, invoices, P&IDs, SOPs, etc.), and delivering accurate, context-aware answers to user queries.
This role requires deep expertise in both cloud-native (Azure) and open-source AI ecosystems, with the ability to design autonomous, agent-driven workflows that integrate multiple tools, APIs, and data sources.
Work Experience
Key Responsibilities
AI/ML Solution Design & Development
- Architect and implement document understanding pipelines (structured + unstructured data).
- Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and LLM-based copilots for enterprise knowledge management.
- Develop agentic AI workflows (using LangChain Agents, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, etc.) for multi-step reasoning and automation.
- Integrate OCR, computer vision, and NLP models to process scanned PDFs, engineering drawings, invoices, and P&ID diagrams.
- Fine-tune and optimize LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, LLaMA, etc.) for enterprise use.
Cloud & Data Engineering
- Build scalable AI solutions on Azure tech stack (Azure AI Search, Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, AKS).
- Implement vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search, FAISS) for semantic and multimodal search.
- Design and manage efficient data pipelines using Python, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks.
Full-Stack Collaboration
- Work with front-end developers (React) to integrate AI services into user-friendly applications.
- Ensure smooth API design and deployment of AI services.
Performance & Governance
- Ensure system scalability, low latency, and cost efficiency.
- Apply best practices for responsible AI (bias mitigation, data security, compliance).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core AI/ML Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in NLP, LLMs, RAG, and multimodal AI.
- Proven experience building agentic AI workflows (LangChain Agents, Microsoft Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, Haystack agents).
- Proficiency with document AI, OCR, computer vision, and structured document parsing.
- Expertise in transformer-based models (BERT, GPT, LLaMA, etc.), fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of knowledge graphs, embeddings, and semantic search.
- Programming & Tools
- Strong skills in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDKs).
- Experience with data processing & ETL pipelines (Pandas, Spark, Dask).
- Familiarity with React, REST APIs, FastAPI/Flask/Django for service integration.
- Strong in SQL (MS SQL), data modeling, and optimization.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Experience with Azure AI stack: Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, AKS.
- Hands-on with MLOps pipelines (Azure ML, MLflow, CI/CD, Kubeflow).
- Knowledge of containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Other Preferred Skills
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, Azure AI Search).
- Exposure to scanned document/image processing (Azure Form Recognizer, LayoutLM, Detectron, Tesseract OCR).
- Familiarity with engineering/industrial documents (P&ID, CAD drawings, invoices).
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in enterprise AI.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.
- 6+ years of overall development experience, with at least 3+ years in AI/ML-focused projects.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML and agentic systems.
- Experience in mentoring junior developers and working in agile product teams.
