Job Description
Position Summary:
The Technical/Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and formatting high-quality technical proposals and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals). This role requires an individual with strong technical writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. You will work closely with sales, technical, and subject matter experts to craft compelling proposals that align with client requirements and showcase our expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Technical, and Business Development teams to develop tailored, high-quality proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs (Request for Information), and other client requests.
- Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and compelling technical content for proposals, presentations, and other documents. Ensure the content aligns with client expectations and company standards.
- Customisation: Tailor technical proposals to the unique needs of each client, ensuring solutions are properly explained and demonstrate our value proposition.
- Document Management: Organize, maintain, and update the proposal library, ensuring all technical content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with current capabilities and services.
- Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposal drafts for grammar, formatting, and technical accuracy. Ensure compliance with RFP guidelines and company standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal teams (sales, project management, technical, and legal) to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy.
- Proposal Strategy: Participate in proposal strategy meetings, providing input on key technical aspects, solution approaches, and differentiators to ensure a compelling proposal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+years of experience in technical writing, proposal writing, or a related field, ideally within the industry of IT, software development, consulting, AI ,Data Management and Data Engineering
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and proposals simultaneously.
