Job Description
- As an Automation Test Engineer, you will leverage your background in test automation, working knowledge of Java programming, and hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks to collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Java and automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit. You will also be involved in building and enhancing test automation frameworks to ensure scalability and reusability. Collaborating with development and QA teams to design test strategies, test cases, and scripts for comprehensive test coverage will be an essential part of your role. Analyzing automated test results, identifying defects, and working with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues will be crucial. You will integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar and perform load, stress, and performance testing using Java-based tools like JMeter or similar. Additionally, you will review code written by peers, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior automation engineers. Maintaining detailed documentation for test cases, test scripts, and test results will also be part of your responsibilities. Required skills for this role include strong proficiency in Java programming language, hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber, and experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Data-driven, Keyword-driven, Page Object Model). Familiarity with version control tools like Git, SVN, practical experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, or other CI/CD tools, and experience using bug tracking systems such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar are also necessary. Basic SQL skills for database verification and data validation, experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, and a total work experience of 5 years (Preferred) with 5 years of experience in Java Selenium (Preferred) are required for this full-time position.
