Job Description

As an Electronics Design Engineer at Magna, you will play a crucial role in the electronics design and development, as well as the requirements engineering of the traction inverter for electric vehicles. Your responsibilities will include hands-on experience in hardware design and development, selection of hardware components, simulation using tools like MATLAB and Ansys, and creating schematics in Altium or similar software. You will also be involved in PCB design reviews, component engineering, and understanding hardware requirement engineering processes. Additionally, you will support the selection and integration of system components into the overall inverter hardware while ensuring effective communication and alignment with stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or equivalent from a reputable university/institution and possess 3 to 10 years of experience in electronics circuit design or a related field. Knowledge of automotive EMI/EMC testing standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), and experience in the automotive sector will be advantageous. Strong written and spoken English skills are essential for effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
