Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain the companys disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. The role will involve working closely with IT, operations, and business teams to ensure resilience, minimal downtime, and rapid recovery in case of disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure setting up of new DR sites, bringing improvements in existing DR sites and upgrade the same.
- Design and implement projects to automate the DR activities and improve the RTO & RPO.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses (BIA) to identify critical systems, dependencies, and recovery priorities.
- Coordinate DR drills and simulations to test and validate recovery processes.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Application, and Security teams to ensure redundancy and resilience are built into systems.
- Oversee backup strategies and verify data integrity across environments.
- Should be able to design/architect and build LLD, HLD, Implementation.
- Strong understanding of the Data Protection (Back-up & Recovery, BCP DR, Storage Replication, Database Native Replications, Data Archival & Retention) for application workloads such as MS SQL, Exchange, Oracle, VMware, Hyper-V, azure, AWS etc.
- Lead post-incident analysis to improve recovery strategies.
- TCL/Shell/Batch/PowerShell/Expect Scripts or similar scripting languages is must.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT Infrastructure roles.
- Proven expertise in DR planning, testing, and execution for enterprise-scale systems.
- Experience with cloud-based DR solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of data backup, replication, and failover technologies.
- Experience in Linux and any database (Oracle, MySQL).
- Cloud Computing Platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP))
- Cloud Storage Services (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage)
