Position: Assistant Manager-Finance & Accounts


Sector: Renewable Energy, Solar & Transmission & Distribution


Employment Type: Full-Time


Location: Hyderabad, Telangana.

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)/M.B.A -Finance


Experience: 6-8 years post-qualification

Role Overview:

At Amara Raja, we are committed to excellence in financial governance and strategic decision-making. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager -Accounts to lead key financial operations, including monthly closures, audits, budgeting, and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-impact environment where your expertise will drive financial clarity and business success.


Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Book Closure

  • Timely closure of books in SAP
  • Review of P&L schedules,major expenses, and material provisions
  • Deferred revenue calculation,analysis, and action planning
  • Comparison of deferred revenue vs CB margin
  • Execution of SAP transactions: KKAJ, CJ8G, OSL
  • Freezing Trial Balance (TB)

Flash Financials

  • Preparation of Day 1 and Day 10 flash reports
  • Review and validation of financial data

Business Review Meetings (BRM)

  • Segment-wise financial highlights (FTM & YTD)
  • Operating statements and profit bridge analysis
  • Overhead analysis and cost optimization
  • Closure of action points from BRM discussions

Control Budget Amendments (Quarterly)

  • Review of project control budgets vs actuals
  • Analysis of balance cost vs final control budget

Annual Budgeting

  • Inputs for revenue, contribution, employee cost, site expenses, BG charges, depreciation, finance cost, and admin expenses
  • Consolidation and finalization of budgets
  • Comparative analysis with actuals and previous budgets

Quarterly Financials & Board Reporting

  • Preparation of quarterly financials and cash flows (direct & indirect)
  • Board deck preparation, including:
    • Operating statement
    • Segment revenue
    • Receivables, payables, inventory
    • CCC, ROCE, key metrics
    • Consolidated financial data
  • Creation of Board presentation (PPT)

Statutory Audit Management

  • Freezing TB and preparing audit schedules
  • Review and submission of financials and schedules
  • Providing audit clarifications and ensuring timely completion
  • Proactive resolution of prior year audit issues

Tax Audit

  • Preparation of workings for tax clauses (43B, depreciation, GST/TDS reconciliation, MSME payables)
  • Drafting Form 3CD in Excel
  • Clarifications to auditors and verification of tax calculations
  • Timely filing of tax returns

Tender Support

  • Preparation of data for CA certificates (Turnover, Net Worth, CCC, Project Collections, Local Content)
  • Coordination with CA for certification and clarifications

Transfer Pricing

  • Preparation of segmental operating statements and RPT data
  • Confirmation and sign-off of RPT balances with group companies

Other Responsibilities

  • Sharing quarterly customer-wise revenue with group finance (Net Revenue)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and SAP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) /M.B.A Finance certification with a strong foundation in financial reporting, control, and compliance.
  • 6-8 years experience in project finance within the solar and BESS sectors, preferably with direct involvement in solar projects.
  • Proven track record of working with developers or consulting firms on financial diligence, bidding, or execution of renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and business analytics tools (Excel, VBA, Python, etc.)
