Job Description
- As an Engineering Technical Writer at MathWorks, you will play a crucial role in developing content to assist users in solving engineering challenges. Your journey will begin in the Engineering Development Group (EDG), where you will undergo comprehensive training, mentoring, and coaching to prepare you for the Engineering Technical Writer position within the Documentation Organization. Your primary responsibilities will include creating clear and concise documentation to support customers in effectively utilizing the software. You will showcase software features, workflows, and applications through goal-oriented topics and examples, ensuring a smooth user experience. By researching the technical domain and customer workflows, you will build product and technical knowledge to address customer inquiries and provide valuable insights on product developments. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives for process improvements, mentor team members, and contribute to enhancing the user experience through prototype testing. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a bachelor's degree, with preference given to individuals holding a Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. An aptitude for quickly learning and explaining engineering procedures and concepts is crucial for success in this role. While not mandatory, knowledge in areas such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Autonomous Systems, Wireless Communication, or Control Systems would be advantageous in fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.
