Job Description
- As an Associate Manager at IQ-EQ, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the work delivered to clients complies with the Group and Company compliance policies, as well as local regulatory frameworks. You will maintain strong operational relationships with clients in your portfolio, gaining a deep understanding of their ongoing business and structural goals. Your responsibilities will include training and coaching team members under your supervision, ensuring the maintenance of fund books and records in alignment with the Offering Memorandum and other Constitutive Documents, and addressing all investor requests promptly. You will be in charge of a designated portfolio as determined by the Head of Accounting and will handle client issues and complaints, escalating complex matters to the Manager or Head of Delivery as needed. Additionally, you will review the work of junior team members, regulatory reporting, and financial statements prepared by the team before client submission. It will be essential for you to stay updated on new methodologies, standards, regulations, and software applications to enhance client service. Collaboration with other functions to meet client deadlines and milestones, proper allocation of tasks among team members, and adherence to internal procedures and policies will be key aspects of your role. You will also participate in the performance review and development plan of team members, ensuring the protection of information assets and compliance with the Information Security Management System at IQ-EQ MU. Key competencies for this position include customer focus, effective communication, talent development, work direction, and collaboration. In addition to the required qualifications such as a degree or related professional certification, the ideal candidate for this role should have experience in fund accounting services, preferably with Private Equity funds. Technical skills in complex accounting, knowledge of accounting standards (IndAS, IFRS, US GAAP), and familiarity with software programs like PAXUS and/or Microgen are expected. Demonstrating accuracy, approachability, attention to detail, prioritization, proactivity, relationship building, and taking ownership will be essential behaviors for success in this role. Your deliverables will be measured based on on-time delivery, compliance and audit deficiencies, client complaints, and timely escalation of issues.,
