Job Title: Security Engineer Cloud Security & Testing
Location: Bangalore
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to support the security of our cloud-based healthcare product. The ideal candidate will have cybersecurity testing and scanning to perform activities in the release cycle as well as a regular maintenance cycle, hands-on experience with cloud security, security analysis, and testing, and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry's regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
Youll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure our product and infrastructure are secure, resilient, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform security analysis of cloud-native healthcare applications and infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into design and development (DevSecOps).
- Review and improve cloud security architecture, including IAM, encryption, and network configurations.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies relevant to cloud and healthcare.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis related to security events.
- Develop and document security standards, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or application/product security.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with healthcare security compliance (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Experience with security tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Nmap, or similar.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, API security, and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and integrating security tools into pipelines.
