Job Description

As a Backend + DevOps Engineer Intern at Flickd, you will be part of a dynamic team working on a social shopping app that integrates trending videos with e-commerce. Flickd's platform leverages video streaming, machine learning, and messaging to provide users with a seamless shopping experience. The technologies used include Java, Spring Boot, and AWS for system development and scaling. Your role will involve developing and optimizing backend services while handling cloud deployments. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance systems. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot, deploying and managing applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.), implementing CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments, optimizing database performance (MySQL, NoSQL), and monitoring system performance to troubleshoot issues. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and RDS is essential. Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines would be a plus. A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn are key traits we are looking for in candidates. In return, Flickd offers a monthly stipend of 12K+ (performance-based) during the internship period. There is also a potential full-time job opportunity with a competitive annual package of 10-12 LPA. The location of the internship is Saket, South Delhi, and it is an offline role.
