Job Description

    You will be playing a crucial role in being the technical lead for all aspects of Embedded software architecture design. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development of strategic technology plans and project portfolio within your organization. You will be required to apply and develop state-of-the-art research on Firmware Product-Lines. Additionally, your expertise in designing high-performance-oriented scalable embedded architecture will be essential. You will be driving and leading different Quality processes in product development to achieve the required quality matrices, such as reviews for firmware artifacts (code and design reviews), code quality matrices, non-functional requirements like performance and sizing, as well as Root cause analysis techniques for problem solving. As a suitable candidate for this position, you should hold a BE/ME degree in Electronics & Communication/Electrical/Computer Science, with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in embedded software development. Experience in the Protection/Sub-Station Automation Industry is preferred for this role, which is based out of Goa. Your primary tasks will involve designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. This includes the development of Linux device drivers for peripherals such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, and Ethernet. You will also be responsible for board bring-up, customization, and optimization of Linux kernel, Bootloader (Uboot) for embedded targets. Furthermore, you will design, develop, code, test, debug, and review system software, analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources, integrate and validate new product designs, and provide production/post-production support. Your professional knowledge should encompass solid programming experience in C/C++, strong hands-on knowledge of Embedded Linux kernel internals and device drivers, and rich hands-on experience in kernel driver development. A strong understanding of OS/Kernel concepts, troubleshooting issues in the runtime environment, memories, RAMs, storage devices, high-speed devices like USB and Ethernet, and proficiency in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development on Linux are essential. Desired knowledge in substation automation technology/substation protection systems, substation automation protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101/102/103/104, Modbus-RTU, DNP3, IEC 61850, electrical power system protection, power system management (SCADA), and applications of power system management will be advantageous.
