Job Description
- As an experienced Automation QA Engineer with over 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks. Your key duties will include designing and implementing automated testing strategies to cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and automation opportunities. Your role will also involve identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct code reviews, provide feedback on automation code written by peers, and maintain and enhance the test automation framework to improve efficiency and coverage. Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI will be part of your responsibilities. You may also need to perform manual testing when necessary to ensure thorough coverage of all test scenarios and analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insights into the quality of the software. It is essential to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in test automation to excel in this role. Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer or in a similar role in software testing. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies is required. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation, along with experience in Playwright for automating web applications, will be beneficial. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI is essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication, teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously are key attributes for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner, knowledge of SQL for writing basic queries for database testing, understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.,
