Job Description
- Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a passionate Acoustic Engineer to join their Advanced Tech R&D team. As an Acoustic Engineer, you will be responsible for tuning and optimizing sound quality for a variety of products such as earbuds, phones, and vehicles. Your expertise in signal processing, acoustic simulation, and electroacoustic principles will be utilized to enhance the auditory experience of customers. Your responsibilities will include implementing, optimizing, and validating audio signal processing solutions for different audio systems. You will conduct acoustic analyses, develop acoustic models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic designs. Additionally, you will create performance reports, conduct audio listening experiments, and stay updated on the latest trends in acoustics. The minimum qualifications for this role include a strong foundation in signal processing, proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB, experience in audio signal modeling, and knowledge of programming languages such as C and C++. You should also have familiarity with audio systems tuning, sound system calibration, and machine learning applications to audio. Desired qualifications include experience in FEA, BEM methods, and COMSOL for acoustic simulation, working experience with ApX and HEAD Acoustics for acoustic data analysis, proficiency in statistical analysis tools like R, and knowledge of electroacoustic standards. Education requirements include a Master's degree in engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in the same fields. Minimum qualifications for education include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields with 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related work.
