Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Performance Tester to join our team and help ensure the robustness and scalability of our applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating the performance of software systems, conducting load and stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks and performance issues before they reach production. You will work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to maintain the high performance and reliability of our systems.
Experience Required- 3 + Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Testing: Design, execute, and maintain performance tests to evaluate application behavior under various load conditions (e.g., load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, and endurance testing).
- Test Scripting & Automation: Develop and automate performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or other performance testing tools.
- Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results to identify system bottlenecks, performance issues, and potential failure points. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve system performance.
- Collaboration: Work with development teams to understand application architecture and identify key performance metrics. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Performance Optimization: Provide recommendations for improving system performance based on test results, including optimizations for database queries, network latency, and resource utilization.
- Documentation: Document performance testing strategies, scenarios, test plans, and results in a clear and concise manner. Produce comprehensive performance reports for stakeholders.
- Monitoring & Tools: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic, Azure Application Insights) to track system performance during tests and in production environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with new performance testing tools, techniques, and best practices. Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in testing and performance management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Performance Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad.
- Test Automation: Experience in automating performance tests and integrating them into continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
- Analysis & Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze performance test results and identify system bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Monitoring & Diagnostics: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Azure Application Insights) for performance tracking.
- Networking & Infrastructure: Understanding of networking concepts, server infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and their impact on application performance.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate performance test results and technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in agile software development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
