Full Stack Developer (Java + React JS) @ Cognizant

Job Description

As a Full Stack Developer specializing in Java and React, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications. Youll work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React JS.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end components.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases to improve performance and reduce technical debt.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure application security, responsiveness, and performance.
• Collaborate with global teams using tools like Microsoft Teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of enterprise-level experience in Java and React JS.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST/JSON APIs, and JUnit.
• Experience with CI/CD principles, Git, and Agile tools like Jira.
• Familiarity with SQL, Azure Cloud, and Azure DevOps.
• IDE experience: Visual Studio (React), Eclipse/IntelliJ (Java).
• Scripting knowledge: Bash or Python.
• Understanding of application security in enterprise environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Linux, JMeter, Okta SSO, and SonarQube.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time education and professional experience in software development.
