Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and third-party tools like Jenkins.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure smooth cloud operations and deployments.
Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security best practices, and data protection standards.
Maintain and improve disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, or EKS).
Familiarity with networking concepts: VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53.
Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), KMS, and security best practices in AWS.
Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent certification.
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and AWS Outposts.
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools (e.g., AWS Inspector, Guard Duty).
Experience in cost optimization using AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
