Job Description
As a Software Engineer II - Full stack C# Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the firm s cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As an emerging member of the software engineering team, you will execute software solutions by designing, developing, and technically troubleshooting various components within a technical product, application, or system, while acquiring the skills and experience necessary to advance in your role.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Experience within .NET technologies - C# / .NET 8, LINQ and ReactJS with Typescript.
- Strong implementation skills for developing .NET application across front-end (WPF/WinForms), back-end and cloud
- Experience with multi-threading using Async-Await / TPL pattern.
- Proficiency in SQL Server with ORM (Entity Framework/NHibernate), familiarity with MSBuild
- Strong knowledge of Typescript/Javascript with ES6, Redux, Webpack/Vite
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput asynchronous messaging (e.g. Tibco, AMPS, Kafka)
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Certified Developer, or other relevant AWS certifications
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Experience with Investment Banking - Fixed Income domain will be an advantage
