Job Description
Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, SUSE): install, configure, patch, harden, and tune systems.
Shell scripting (Bash, sh, ksh): automate tasks and build health check/monitoring scripts.
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, and troubleshooting using tools like netstat, traceroute, tcpdump.
Storage management: LVM, RAID, NFS, SAN, iSCSI, and disk management.
User and permission management: users, groups, sudoers, PAM, and file permissions.
System monitoring and troubleshooting: using top, htop, iostat, vmstat, journalctl, and log analysis.
Security best practices: SELinux, firewalld/iptables, SSH hardening, vulnerability remediation.
Virtualization and containers: familiarity with KVM, VMware, Docker basics.
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
Clear documentation skills for processes and configurations.
Good time management to handle patching, KTLO, and project work.
Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams
