Job Description
- Design end-to-end solution architecture for core banking systems, including integrations with satellite applications.
- Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of core banking transformation initiatives (e.g., system upgrade, re-platforming, cloud migration).
- Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and best practices in line with regulatory, security, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solution designs and target architecture blueprints.
- Develop and validate solution design documents (HLDs, LLDs), including data flow diagrams, system interfaces, and security models.
- Own the application and integration architecture, ensuring seamless data flow between the core banking platform and external/internal systems (e.g., CRM, treasury, AML, regulatory reporting, payments, digital channels).
- Provide governance and oversight on the technical delivery by internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Conduct impact analysis, gap assessments, and propose modernization strategies, including API-led architectures, microservices, and cloud-native adoption.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and Data teams to ensure non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, resiliency, DR, performance) are met.
- Support RFP evaluations and vendor assessments from an architecture standpoint.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in solution architecture roles in the core banking domain.
- Proven expertise in one or more core banking.
- Strong understanding of banking business processes: CASA, Loans, Trade Finance, Payments, Treasury, GL, etc.
- Experience designing solutions across retail, corporate, and digital banking channels.
- Proficiency in integration technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, Kafka, ISO 20022/8583.
- Knowledge of security, compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, local banking regulations), and data governance.
