Job Description
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Onboard PaaS services into our Cloud Service Catalogue
- Continuous involvement during application development lifecycle to ensure proper use of PaaS services that align with company policies
and procedures with a strong focus on Information Security best practices
- Assist Application and Development teams to analyze existing or new workloads and provide recommendation and guidance with an
emphasis to driving Cloud Native/Cloud First architectures
- Work alongside Information Security teams to ensure that Cloud services are adopted and implemented according to companys security
and compliance requirements
- Assist DevOps teams with secure and automated delivery of code, services, configuration and data
- Create documentation to support Application and Development teams requirements in multiple Cloud environments
- Educate teams and advocate the adoption of Cloud Native Applications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field AND at least ten years of IT experience Three or more years of experience designing and managing PaaS and IaaS in Azure and/or AWS, with an emphasis on migration and transformation of on-premises applications to Azure PaaS
- Two or more years of experience working global deployment projects in Azure with DevOps using TFS/Azure DevOps
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in writing and presentation skills, as well as reviewing technical documentation
- Deep understanding of Cloud service security, implementation and configuration aligned with security best practices.
- Broad understanding of the technology stack including security, network and server infrastructure & protocols and associated application technologies including databases, web and analytics elements.
- Experience managing infrastructure in a mid-large sized company or multi-location company, preferred
- Deep understanding of Terraform is a must.
- Good understanding of cloud networking is preferred.
- Understanding of AI services infrastructure
- Strong interest in continuously learning and understanding the newest technologies, and how they can be integrated into Bechtels
infrastructure
