Job Description Appian QA/Test EngineerWe are looking for a QA/Test Engineer with strong expertise in Appian BPM to join our team. This role goes beyond running test cases youll help shape our testing approach, ensure end-to-end quality, and drive automation that speeds up delivery without compromising standards.
What youll do
- Take ownership of building and maintaining test strategies that align with business and technical requirements in Appian applications.
- Translate functional and technical specifications into robust test scenarios.
- Validate Appian solutions through a mix of functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Automate repetitive test cases using Appian Designer and enhance existing suites for reliability and speed.
- Track and manage defects through Jira/TestRail, working closely with developers to drive fixes and confirm resolutions.
- Continuously look for ways to improve our QA practices from methodology to tooling with a focus on efficiency and early defect detection.
- Partner with stakeholders across product, business analysis, and development to share insights, highlight risks, and provide clear reporting on test outcomes.
- Keep documentation sharp: detailed test scripts, traceability from requirements, and execution results that support release confidence.
What youll bring
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 23 years of hands-on QA or software testing experience, with a strong focus on Appian testing.
- Solid understanding of both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Proficiency with tools like Appian Designer, Jira, TestRail, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to design and execute automated test suites tailored for Appian BPM environments.
- Strong knowledge of QA practices within Agile delivery models.
