Job Description

The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and measuring communication plans and messages .This is a hands-on role that requires creative thinking and an ability to turn business and technical concepts into meaningful coverage read by IT, business decision makers and C-level executives. Agency management experience is required.


Job Description

  • Develop and execute a quarterly PR strategy and plan (global and regional) for building awareness and positioning for our company's brands
  • This plan should be in-line with the business goals and raise awareness and preference through editorial coverage, blogs, by-lines, awards, customer case studies and other relevant types of content.
  • Build thought leadership profiles in business and tech media for key leaders, including business unit heads, regional sales, partners and engineering leads.
  • Drive extensive proactive coverage in key markets that goes well beyond product announcements and ties into hot editorial trends.
  • Manage agency relationships with PR firms. Ensure agencies have clear direction and are mapping closely to identified budgets.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant experience, either in-house, agency-side, or both. Technology experience is required.
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Exceptional writing/editing and story-telling skills, and the ability to adapt the style, tone, and voice of our business
  • Ability to take business and technical concepts and customer outcomes and turn them into interesting and inspiring story lines.
  • Experience in building a communication strategy for a geographically-dispersed region with proven / measurable results.
  • Excels at communicating across all levels of an organization, quickly building trust and confidence with senior regional executives.
  • Understands how to navigate sensitive matters in the press and, when necessary, excels at crisis communications.
  • Experience in working with sales, communications and marketing functions, including analyst relations, internal communications, social media, etc.
  • Mass communications degree or equivalent.
