Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for incidents and service requests related to Linux servers and VMware infrastructure.
  
• Troubleshoot OS-level issues (Red Hat / CentOS / Ubuntu).
  
• Monitor virtual infrastructure (VMware vSphere, ESXi) for performance, availability, and issues.
  
• Handle VM provisioning, snapshot management, resource allocation, and migration (vMotion).
  
• Perform VM commissioning and decommissioning.
  
• Escalate complex issues to L3 or specialized teams when required.
  
• Provide support via call, chat, and ticketing systems in a 24x7 environment.
  
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, problem, and knowledge management.
  
• Communicate effectively with users and IT teams for timely resolution.
  
• Basic knowledge of Windows administration
  

Desired Skills

• 3+ years in Service Desk / IT Support environment.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools and remote troubleshooting.
  
• In-depth experience with Linux OS (Red Hat / CentOS / Ubuntu).
  
• VMware vSphere / ESXi environment management experience.
  
• Knowledge of cloud or virtual infrastructure best practices is an added advantage.
