Job Description
- You are a highly skilled and experienced ETL QA Lead or Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) testing, data validation, and data quality assurance. Your role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines and enterprise data solutions. You will work closely with data engineering, BI, and business teams to understand requirements, ensure test coverage, and drive end-to-end testing for data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses. Your expertise in QA processes in data-centric environments is essential, and you will demonstrate leadership and mentoring capabilities. As an ETL QA Lead, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of ETL test strategies and frameworks. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure test coverage, mentor and guide QA engineers, develop automated test suites, track quality metrics, and own defect management processes. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with data engineers and analysts during development and deployment while contributing to testing activities. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes. You will focus on data quality validation, source-to-target mapping verification, transformation logic testing, and performance optimization of ETL workflows. Your expertise in SQL for validating datasets and backend testing will be crucial, and you will work closely with data engineers and analysts throughout the development and deployment phases. To excel in this role, you should have 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 5 years in ETL/Data Warehouse testing. Strong SQL skills are required, along with a solid understanding of data modeling concepts, relational databases, and data warehouses. Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS is essential, as well as proficiency in test management tools like JIRA and HP ALM. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, test automation frameworks, CI/CD tools, and version control systems like Git will be beneficial. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience with Big Data or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI will be advantageous for validation support.
