Job Description
- As a Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for implementing sustainability initiatives at the plant in alignment with the Central sustainability strategy and roadmap. Your key responsibilities will include data collation, evaluation, and submission on GRI parameters, facilitating audits by external agencies, and conducting capability building sessions on sustainability for employees. You will also be tasked with the implementation of GSCM as per the roadmap, including training suppliers and auditing them on GSCM parameters. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing plant-level manuals and documents as per the system requirements and coordinating with departmental representatives to ensure successful system implementation. Your role will involve driving initiatives for continual improvements, facilitating internal and external audits, updating licenses, consents, and other documents, and providing monthly compliance reports to the Central Team. Knowledge of legal amendments and conducting induction and safety awareness programs for employees will be essential aspects of your responsibilities. In terms of safety, you will be responsible for capability building of employees on safety systems like BBS, SOTs, and EHS pillars, implementing BBS, analyzing injuries, and taking necessary actions at the plant level. You will identify safety themes to reduce injuries, conduct safety patrols, prepare safety manuals for department procedures, and implement contractor safety initiatives and job safety analysis. Furthermore, you will be involved in the preparation of monthly MIS at the plant and sector level, driving TPM EHS pillar activities, participating in external EHS awards, and promoting safety activities across the plant. Your educational background should include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a similar position.,
