Job Description

Job Objective :

Leading, managing and monitoring of sales from the identified partner Bank-branches covered within the region and implementing the regional Bancassurance distribution strategy in line with the overall Bancassurance distribution strategy. Build and sustain relationships with the regional level officials of the partner bank covered within the region.


Job Description :

Strategy Planning & Implementation

Assist the Area Head/ Regional Head in formulation and implementation of the regional distribution strategy for the Bancassurance channel as per the corporate guidelines.

Support the Area Head/ Regional Head in the preparation of the sale forecast and estimation of sales target for the identified bank branches in the region

Provide specific targets to the Location Heads (LH)/Relationship Manager (RM)/Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM)/ Insurance Sales Officer (ISO) in line with the allocated territory targets and overall budget for the Bancassurance channel in the region in respect of all the Key Result Areas and special projects undertaken for the financial year

Ensure that high net worth individuals and group business clients are provided with suitable insurance policies and efficient costumer service.

Achievement of Target

Responsible for achievement of the sales target set for the Territory through monitoring of achievement of territory targets by Location Heads and their teams of Relationship Manager (RM)/Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM)/ Insurance Sales Officer (ISO)

Responsible for achievement of targets in respect of the other Key Result Areas as well as for implementation of the special projects undertaken and their outcomes.

Build and sustain relationships with channel partners (i.e. banks) - the Zonal Heads/ Regional Heads/ Principal Marketing Officers/Heads of Marketing/other Marketing Officials/ key Branch Managers.

Review the effectiveness of the Territory's distribution strategy on a periodic basis and report the same to the RH.

Responsible for management of the manpower resources and enlisting support from the Area Head/ Regional Head as well as HR for maintaining requisite numbers at all times to prevent any business loss.

Track the progress on addition of new bank branches, on a monthly basis and report to the RH.

Identifying the gaps in mapping of 'specified persons' in the distributor's branch clusters and converting as many bank officials to become specified persons with a goal of having "At least ONE Specified Person per Branch";

Sales Promotion & Product Interface

Provide inputs on design of various sales promotion schemes as part of the regional distribution campaign to the National Account Head

Ensure conduct of the regional distribution campaign/ sales promotion schemes within the allocated budget

Ensure smooth launch of new products in the region through conduct of promotional activities

Provide inputs to the AH/ RH and National Account Head on the performance of existing and new products as well as of competitor products

Provide inputs to the National Account Head for customization of insurance products to the needs of the channel partners

Mentoring / Coaching / Training for Distribution team

Mentor and coach Location Heads (LH)/ Relationship Manager (RM)/Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM)/ Insurance Sales Officer (ISO)

to develop the team's capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role

Provide support for manpower planning and recruitment of Bancassurance team [Location Heads and Assistant Managers (Bancassurance)] for the region.

Ensure that the Bancassurance team is trained on all product related aspects.

Ensure compliance of the regional Bancassurance Distribution team with the regulatory norms as well as various corporate policies at all times.

Coordinate with the Regional Sales training team and Location Heads to ensure that bank marketing personnel within the identified bank branches have a good understanding of the product features

Coordinate with the Operations and Customer Services team in the Regional Office to ensure that Bancassurance team within the region are provided with all the necessary operational assistance

Other

  • Monitor the after- sales services provided to the distributors and customers, especially in respect of renewal persistency and death claims, etc.
  • Keep a tab on the new business related turnaround times (TATs) within the bench marks defined by the company from time to time.
