Job Description

As a Software Test Engineer at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software through thorough testing processes. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing the software requirements and seeking clarification for any doubts that may arise. - Acquiring a good understanding of the software under test and any associated software. - Familiarizing yourself with the master test plan and/or project plan. - Developing your own test plan or assisting in its creation. - Generating test cases based on requirements and relevant documentation. - Procuring or creating test data necessary for testing purposes. - Setting up the required test environments including hardware, software, and network configurations. - Creating or assisting in the creation of test automation processes. - Conducting manual and automated tests on software releases. - Recording any defects found in a defect database and communicating them to stakeholders. - Maintaining test logs to track testing activities. - Sharing test results with stakeholders. - Addressing returned bug reports, especially those marked as not reproducible. - Updating test automation based on any changes to test cases. - Tracking project time using project management or time tracking systems. - Reporting work progress and highlighting any challenges faced to the Test Lead or Project Manager when necessary.
