Job Description
- You are a skilled Automation Test Engineer with expertise in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, and Maven. Your role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust automation frameworks and practices. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG. You will create and manage BDD test scenarios using Cucumber for functional and regression testing. Additionally, you will have experience with UI and REST API Automation testing using REST Assured and integrating test automation scripts with Maven for build and dependency management. Developing and maintaining reusable libraries, tools, and frameworks for automation testing will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration is essential as you will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. You will execute automated test suites, analyze results to identify defects and inconsistencies, and participate in CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins/GitLab CI. Logging and tracking defects using tools like JIRA or similar, preparing test reports, documenting test results, and presenting findings to stakeholders are also important aspects of the role. Your required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with proven experience (5+ years) in Automation testing with Selenium WebDriver. Proficiency in Java to build a framework, expertise with TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), and Maven, knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Page Object Model (POM), and experience with version control systems like Git are necessary. You should be able to build and integrate automation code into the pipeline to run through Jenkins or a similar CI/CD tool. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, teamwork abilities, and exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) for cross-browser testing are also required.
