Job Description
We are looking for a technical writer or instructional designer to create technical and learning content for Adobe products as per stated quality and schedule requirements. The writer should have strong software learning and documenting skills, and drive assigned projects with ownership. She/he will be working closely with other writers of the Community Help and Learning team and will be required to work from the NOIDA office of Adobe.
Responsibilities
- Attend discussions/demos, install and learn software, and document new features/workflows and related updates
- Curate user feedback to identify top issues and create required content (FAQs, Technotes, videos, Help updates)
- Assess content performance, optimize priority content, and make recommendations for archival
- Implement programs that encourage and reward community participation
- Provide editorial and technical review support to writers
- Report on issues, actions and success
Skills
- 3-5 years experience writing and editing developer documentation.
- Proven ability to lead documentation projects.
- Excellent developmental editing, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce quality documentation with aggressive deadlines.
- Proven ability to work well with people and on a team.
- Experience writing for an international audience.
- Proven ability to multitask with multiple features, technologies, products Technical expertise with multiple products or domains, HTML, and DITA open-source
- Proven ability to work with emerging technologies
- Experience or familiarity with authoring systems like Adobe Technical Communication Suite, oXygen, XMetaL, etc.
