Data Engineer @ Qentelli

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR, and Athena for data storage, transformation, and processing.
  
• Develop and maintain data processing jobs using Python and SQL.
  
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  
• Integrate and automate data workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
  
• Work with Apache technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Hive (based on project needs).
  
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver clean, validated data.
  
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data governance and compliance.
  
• Maintain clear documentation for data architecture, processes, and pipelines.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Python programming and SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for data engineering (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena).
  
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration best practices.
  
• Experience with Apache frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Hive.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, or GitLab CI.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in building reliable and reusable data processes.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
