Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead QA with 7 years of experience who is passionate about quality engineering and automation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent programming skills, deep knowledge of automation frameworks, and the ability to build scalable, maintainable, and robust test automation solutions across UI, API, and backend services. This role also requires lead-level responsibilities including mentoring team members, driving test strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems.
- Conduct code reviews for test code and provide feedback.
- Identify, report, and track bugs to ensure a high level of product quality.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and drive quality engineering efforts across the sprint cycle.
- Lead and mentor Junior QA engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
- Define and enforce QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation guidelines.
- Work closely with product managers and developers to shape product requirements with a quality-first mindset.
- Take ownership of test strategy, planning, and execution for complex modules and releases.
Must-Have Skills and Qualifications
- Programming Expertise, Strong proficiency in Java, version control and continuous integration.
- UI Automation: Selenium, Playwright
- API Automation: Expertise in API testing using RestAssured, Postman, or HTTPClient.
- GenAI: Prompting Techniques, Use of GenAI
- Automation Framework Development: Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain custom automation frameworks.
- Test Strategy and Planning: Experience in writing test plans, defining test strategies, and estimating efforts.
- CI/CD Integration: Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps for automation pipelines.
