We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Backend Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in Java , Spring Boot , Kafka Streaming , and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) . This is a senior-level role requiring deep technical proficiency, architectural leadership, and proven experience in designing and maintaining large-scale, distributed, event-driven systems .
- Architect, design, and lead the development of scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build robust, high-performance data streaming applications with Apache Kafka , Kafka Streams , and Confluent platform.
- Manage Kafka infrastructure including creation, configuration, and monitoring of multiple topics across complex Kafka clusters.
- Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, Platform Engineering , and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable services.
- Define and implement event-driven architecture (EDA) and Complex Event Processing (CEP) patterns across enterprise applications.
- Lead the development and deployment of full-stack ELK solutions , ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Design and optimize Elasticsearch clusters , index structures, and custom queries for real-time analytics and search use cases.
- Implement Elastic Cache solutions to enhance performance and data accessibility.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end ELK reporting pipeline , from ingestion to visualization.
- Drive best practices in coding, architecture, and deployment in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- 10+ years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka , Kafka Streams , and Confluent platform tools.
- Strong understanding of event-driven systems , microservices architecture, and distributed system design.
- Deep knowledge and practical experience in Elasticsearch , Logstash , and Kibana .
- Expertise in building and managing scalable ELK stacks and integrating Elastic Cache in production environments.
- Proficient in designing and executing complex queries over large datasets with performance in mind.
- Proven track record of leading architecture decisions and technology strategy for mission-critical systems.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills with experience working across multiple teams.
- Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes .
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Previous experience in mentoring teams or leading engineering initiatives.
