DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes Optimization @ MNC Construction

Job Description

You are a DevOps Engineer joining a Cloud FinOps startup focused on Kubernetes Optimization. Your primary responsibility will involve implementing and fine-tuning Karpenter and KEDA for intelligent autoscaling to help customers reduce cloud costs and optimize performance. You will collaborate with customer engineering teams to assess Kubernetes workloads, design scaling strategies, and deploy production-ready solutions across AWS, GCP, or Azure environments. Your key responsibilities include configuring Karpenter for node autoscaling, optimizing KEDA for workload scaling, managing scaling infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, and analyzing cluster metrics for cost optimization. It is essential to document technical decisions, share best practices, and continuously monitor and refine scaling setups for reliability and performance. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3-6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles, with production experience in Kubernetes autoscaling, strong understanding of Kubernetes core components, cloud platform knowledge, familiarity with IaC and CI/CD tools, and experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Good communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric mindset are also crucial. It would be beneficial if you have exposure to cost optimization tools, experience with writing or customizing KEDA scalers, contributions to open-source Kubernetes tooling, project management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. A customer-centric mindset is essential for guiding client teams through change management and ensuring high satisfaction levels.,
