Role & responsibilities

Module 1: Laptop/ desktop/ server

• Installing and configuring laptops
• Laptop/ desktop/server hardware

Module 2: Networking

• Types of networks (LAN, WAN, PAN)
• Common ports and protocols (TCP/UDP)
• Wireless networking (Wi-Fi standards, encryption)
• SOHO routers and configuration
• IP addressing and subnetting

Module 3: Hardware

• PC components and connectors (motherboards, RAM, CPU)
• Storage devices (HDD, SSD)
• Power supplies, peripherals
• Printers: types and maintenance

Module 4: Virtualization and Cloud Computing

• Basics of virtualization (Hypervisors, VMs)
• Cloud models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
• Cloud security considerations

Module 5: Hardware and Network Troubleshooting

• Common issues and tools (ping, ipconfig, tracert)
• Troubleshooting methodology

Module 6: Operating Systems

• Windows installation and configuration
• macOS and Linux basics
• Command-line tools
• System utilities and control panel features

Module 7: Security

• Threats and vulnerabilities (malware, phishing)
• Security measures (firewalls, antivirus, multifactor authentication)
• Account and device management
• Securing workstations and mobile devices

Module 8: Software Troubleshooting

• Common OS issues (boot failures, BSOD, slow performance)
• Mobile device issues (sync problems, app crashes)
• Troubleshooting tools and logs

Module 9: Operational Procedures
