About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Azure Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and automate Azure Virtual Machine environments for both Windows Server and Linux. This role involves handling configuration management, disaster recovery, networking, automation, and monitoring to ensure high availability, performance, and security in our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure VM Deployment & Management: Deploy and manage Windows Server and Linux VMs in a highly available setup using Availability Sets/Zones.
- Configuration & Disaster Recovery: Implement configuration management tools and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Monitoring & Log Analytics: Manage and monitor IaaS deployments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL-based Log Search to gain actionable insights.
- Automation: Use PowerShell scripting and ARM templates for repeatable and scalable deployments.
- Azure Networking: Design secure and high-performance virtual networks, implement NSGs/ASGs, and configure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
- Performance & SLA Compliance: Monitor network and system performance to ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
- Scalability: Automate deployment and scaling of Azure solutions using VM Scale Sets, runbooks, and other Azure automation tools.
- Security & Governance: Apply best practices for RBAC, Private Link, and policy-based governance.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (Virtual Machines, Networking, Backup, ASR).
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- Proficiency with ARM templates (Bicep knowledge is a plus).
- Knowledge of Azure networking concepts (VNet, NSG, UDR, VPN, ExpressRoute).
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL queries.
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with DevOps tools for CI/CD automation in Azure.
- Azure certification (AZ-104, AZ-305) preferred.
- Experience with hybrid cloud deployments.
