About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Development Engineer to join our team working on Citrix Director , a critical monitoring and troubleshooting tool for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix DaaS. As a subject matter expert (SME) in backend development, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance, scalable solutions that enable IT administrators to effectively manage their virtual environments.
You will be responsible for leading the technical direction of the backend platform, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality features. Your deep expertise in the .NET ecosystem and data processing will be essential in tackling complex challenges related to data at scale and API performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for the Citrix Director backend, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the backend tech stack, providing guidance and technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development plans.
- Demonstrable expertise as a subject matter expert in backend development, with experience in building scalable, enterprise-level applications using modern programming languages and frameworks. Experience with the C# and .NET ecosystem is highly preferable
- Design and implement performant APIs, including OData APIs , to support frontend applications and integrations.
- Utilize advanced SQL expertise to manage and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for data-intensive operations.
- Lead the development of unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Work with testing tools like Jemeter to analyze and improve application performance and stability.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend systems.
- Demonstrable expertise as a subject matter expert in the .NET and C# ecosystem or related high level language.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL database design, optimization, and advanced query writing.
- Proven experience designing and implementing highly performant and scalable APIs, including OData API standards.
- Solid understanding of data processing at scale and best practices for building robust backend services.
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools, including Unit Tests , Jemeter , and other scale testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and guiding other engineers.
