- Job Description: As a Software Tester at our end-to-end web solution services company, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of the web portals we design. With 1 to 2 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in analyzing user stories, specifications, and requirements to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Your expertise in manual and automated testing techniques will be vital in executing test scripts to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues. Your key responsibilities will include logging and tracking defects using a defect tracking system, collaborating with developers for timely resolution, and preparing clear and concise test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you will participate in meetings to discuss testing progress and issues, and perform regression testing after bug fixes and software updates to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected. To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Your familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, as well as knowledge of testing tools and defect tracking systems, will be essential. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have experience in data analysis. Understanding different types of testing such as functional, integration, regression, and performance testing is necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience with testing tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG would be advantageous. By applying quality engineering principles throughout the software development lifecycle, you will contribute to the overall success of our projects.
