Job Description
- You are an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications. Your deep understanding of the Ruby on Rails framework and proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions will be invaluable in this role. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications using Ruby on Rails. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. Optimizing and managing database queries to ensure data integrity and high performance will also be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end and third-party services, as well as implement automated testing using tools such as RSpec to ensure code reliability. Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing applications for scalability and speed will be essential. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive solutions. Guiding and mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and managing application deployment to ensure smooth releases with minimal downtime are also part of your responsibilities. You should have a minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles, experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, Git for version control, and automated testing frameworks like RSpec are necessary technical skills. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential soft skills. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies, understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and exposure to front-end frameworks like React or Angular are preferred qualifications.,
