Job Description
Job Brief:We are looking for a detail-oriented Performance Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance tests to ensure the reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of our software applications under varying load conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute performance testing plans, scripts, and scenarios.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
- Conduct load, stress, endurance, and spike testing to validate system performance.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics such as response times, throughput, and resource usage.
- Develop and maintain automated performance tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
- Document test plans, results, and performance issues clearly and concisely.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging performance testing tools and techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in performance testing of web applications, APIs, or distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with one or more performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, K6).
- Good scripting/programming skills to develop automated test scripts.
- Experience with monitoring and analyzing performance data using relevant tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration and Agile development practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of networking, databases, and system architecture.
- Exposure to multiple programming languages or frameworks.
- Certification in software testing or performance engineering is a plus.
