Consultant - HANA Modeling @ Yash Technologies

Job Description

• Data Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
  Understand business needs and translate them into data models.
  Analyze source data from various systems to identify relevant information.
  Collaborate with business users to define key metrics and KPIs.
  Data Modeling Design:
  Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models using HANA modeling tools.
  Design and implement calculation views to perform complex calculations and data transformations.
  Utilize attribute views and analytical views to structure data for specific analysis scenarios.
  Data Integration and Transformation:
  Develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into HANA
  Implement data cleansing and quality checks
  Manage data hierarchies and relationships between different data entities
  Performance Optimization:
  Optimize data models for query performance by using appropriate indexes and partitioning strategies
  Analyze query execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks
  Security and Access Control:
  Define user roles and privileges to manage data access within the HANA model

• Required Skills for a HANA Modeler:
  Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional, star schema, snowflake schema)
  Expertise in SAP HANA modeling tools and features (calculation views, attribute views, analytical views)
  SQL programming skills
  Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices

• Experience with SAP BOBJ , Power BI(preferred).
• Knowing Snowflake and Date Warehouse Cloud is added advantage.
