Job Description
AEM Technical Lead
Experience: 9 - 14 years
Work location: Chennai | Mumbai | Pune | Bangalore
NP: Immediate to 30 days
Required Skills
AEM:
10 + years of extensive development experience on AEM (AEM 6.x, latest major version AEM 6.5) including Components, Assets, Forms, Guides.
Advanced proficiency in Apache Sling, OSGi and JCR (Apache Jackrabbit Oak) for content management.
Experience with AEMs SPA Editor, Content Services, and GraphQL for headless architectures.
Extensive experience developing custom features and custom workflows meeting the business requirements.
AEM Guides:
5+ years implementing AEM Guides for DITA-based content authoring, including DITA maps, topics, and specialization.
Proficiency in DITA-OT for output formats and integration with translation.
Experience with AEM Guides metadata management, versioning, and content reuse strategies.
Familiarity with XML editors (e.g. Oxygen XML Editor) for DITA content creation and validation.
Java and J2EE:
10+ years of expertise designing, coding and developing applications on Java
Expert-level Java including Servlets, JSP, and OSGi bundle development.
Proficiency in Sling Models, WCMUsePojo, and Java-based AEM customizations.
Experience of multithreading and asynchronous design to enhance performance and responsiveness and improve user experience while dealing with resource-intensive tasks
Web Technologies:
Advanced skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SPA frameworks (React) for AEM front-end integration.
Expertise in building responsive interfaces with Bootstrap and CSS
Integration Patterns:
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and event-driven integrations.
Knowledge of microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for AEM integrations.
Performance and Security:
Skills in JCR query optimization, Oak index configuration, and asset rendition management.
Expertise in secure coding practices, AEM configurations and compliance.
Deployment and Monitoring:
Experience of Branching strategy, code merge and code deployment using deployment and release pipelines
Experience of using monitoring tools like New Relic, Splunk, ELK for system performance and reviewing application logs to fix reported issues.
Development Tools:
Proficiency in Maven, Gradle, and Git for build and version control.
Experience of using AI Assistant tools like GitHub Copilot
Experience with testing frameworks (like Junit) and CI/CD tools, Cloud Manager
AEM Administration:
Experience in managing Author, Publish, and Preview instances, including CRXDE Lite, package management, and repository maintenance.
