Job Title: ServiceNow Developer/Consultant (7+ Years Experience | ITSM & Integration Specialist)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer/Consultant with over 5 years of experience, specializing in IT Service Management (ITSM) and system integrations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing scalable solutions using the ServiceNow platform, with strong scripting capabilities and hands-on expertise in integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Design, develop, and enhance ITSM solutions including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and CMDB.
2) Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party platforms using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers.
3) Develop client-side and server-side scripts (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions) to support business logic.
4) Configure and maintain workflows, Flow Designer flows, UI policies, data policies, notifications, and access controls.
5) Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
6) Contribute to implementations involving one or more specialized modules:
7) ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management
8) ITAM Hardware/Software Asset Management
9) ITBM Project, Demand, Agile
10) HRSD Employee Center, Lifecycle Events
11) GRC Risk, Compliance, Policy Management
12) Ensure performance, maintainability, and adherence to best practices in all development activities.
13) Support CI/CD processes, update sets, and version control management.
Required Skills:
1) 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with a strong focus on ITSM
2) Must have: proven experience building integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
3) Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, and platform-specific scripting
4) Solid understanding of CMDB structure, data model, and lifecycle management
5) Experience with designing and implementing workflows using Flow Designer
6) Strong grasp of ITIL processes and service management principles
7) Hands-on experience with ACLs, form and list configurations, and catalog item development
Preferred Qualifications:
1) ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
2) Certification in a specialized area such as ITOM, HRSD, or GRC
3) Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery
4) Strong analytical and communication skills
Nice to Have:
1) Exposure to Service Portal and custom application development
2) Experience maintaining CMDB health metrics
3) Understanding of ServiceNow security model and RBAC
